Sub-Vendo

Sub-vendo lets you share your WifiCone device's internet connection with sub-operators who run their own mini hotspot setups under yours — each with their own rates, vouchers, and revenue.

What Is Sub-Vendo?

A sub-vendo is a downstream operator who:

  • Connects their own router or access point to your device's LAN
  • Gets an isolated IP range within your DHCP pool
  • Has their own captive portal with their own rates and vouchers
  • Collects revenue independently from your main portal

Think of it like subleasing — you own the internet connection, sub-operators pay you for access and run their own business separately.

How It Works

ISP → WifiCone Device (main operator)
           ↓
    LAN (192.168.10.x)
           ↓
    Sub-Vendo Router A (192.168.10.50)
↓ ← Sub-operator's own captive portal, rates, vouchers
    Customers (192.168.20.x)

The WifiCone device routes traffic for the sub-vendo's IP range and applies the sub-vendo's session rules to their customers.

Setting Up a Sub-Vendo

Go to Admin Panel → Sub-Vendo → Add Sub-Vendo.

Setting Description
Name Label for this sub-operator (e.g., "Shop 2 - Juan")
IP Range The IP range assigned to this sub-vendo's customers
Gateway IP The sub-vendo router's IP on your LAN
Rate Profiles Which rate profiles this sub-vendo's customers can use

Sub-Vendo Isolation

Each sub-vendo has isolated:

  • Captive portal — customers see only the sub-vendo's rates
  • Vouchers — sub-vendo generates and manages their own codes
  • Sales records — revenue is tracked separately per sub-vendo
  • Session rules — can have different session behavior from the main operator

Managing Sub-Vendos

  • Edit — change IP range, rates, or name
  • Disable — temporarily cut internet access for a sub-vendo without deleting their config
  • Delete — permanently remove a sub-vendo (existing sessions end)

Revenue Tracking

Sub-vendo sales appear in the main Sales screen with a Sub-Vendo tag showing which sub-operator the sale belongs to. You can filter sales by sub-vendo in the date range and export views.

Tips

  • Assign non-overlapping IP ranges to each sub-vendo to avoid routing conflicts.
  • Use descriptive names (e.g., "Ground Floor - Maria") to easily identify sub-operators in the sales log.
  • Sub-vendos can use the same rate profiles as your main portal, or you can create dedicated profiles just for them.
